BETA Technological Center, Deputy Director
Dr. Laia Llenas is a Chemical Engineer and holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering. She is the Deputy Director of BETA Technological Centre, a growing research center located in the center of Catalonia that currently counts with a multidisciplinary team of 70 people working in the field of circular bioeconomy and rural development. From a technical point of view, her expertise is in the field of environmental technologies for waste and wastewater treatment and valorisation, mainly focused on nutrient recovery from different waste streams. Moreover, Dr. Llenas counts with an extensive knowledge and expertise in the area of EU funding and project management. She has been actively involved in different European projects and she is currently coordinating the H2020 FERTIMANURE project.
