One of these solutions is ViviMag®, an innovative technology that uses magnetic separation to recover vivianite (iron phosphate) from sewage sludge. By recovering phosphorus and iron from wastewater treatment processes, ViviMag® helps retain and reuse valuable resources.
The technology is currently progressing towards demonstration-scale implementation at the Nieuwveer wastewater treatment plant (400,000 PE) in the Netherlands. Designed for water utilities and wastewater treatment operators, ViviMag® helps organisations recover valuable resources while supporting sustainable sludge management.
Through our ESPP membership, we aim to exchange knowledge, collaborate with stakeholders across the phosphorus value chain, and contribute to advancing sustainable phosphorus recovery and recycling solutions in Europe.
