7th July 2014, Rennes, France: Sustainable phosphorus management in France: ESPP is organising a first meeting to establish a "sustainable phosphorus network" in France. The meeting will be followed by the workshop "Regions at work for the Bioeconomy", Rennes 7 (evening) - 9 July 2014, organised by the European Commission DG Enterprise and Brittany Region.  

The France sustainable phosphorus network will enable dialogue between companies, scientists, decision makers, farmers and other stakeholders and administrations involved in managing phosphorus, for example in manures and wastewater, P-reuse, P-recycling, composting, anaerobic digestion, P in animal feeds, P management in river basins (eutrophication prevention and restoration, water quality status), P in agriculture, P in the food chain and agro-industry …

The 7th July launch meeting will include a presentation of sustainable phosphorus actions in France and in Europe, discussion of objectives of a France Sustainable Phosphorus Network, projects currently underway in France and showcasing of companies and competence in phosphorus management in France. The meeting will particularly address phosphorus management in Brittany, and the challenge of maintaining agricultural production whilst ensuring water quality, through manure processing and nutrient recycling.

This France Phosphorus Network launch meeting will be followed by the European Commission / Regions at Work for the BioEconomy / Brittany region meeting, 7th July (20h00) - 9th July, Rennes, France.
